Stories, Community & Creative Collaboration in Mérida.

I’m a storyteller, producer and community-builder who believes every voice deserves space. My work currently lives through four focused projects:

Join the Community

See my projects:

  • B1 Entertainment is a talent incubator focused on developing strong, versatile performers. Through hands-on coaching and performance training, artists build the confidence, discipline, and style needed to deliver polished covers and original music with a professional edge.

B1 is a creative space built from Salaama Journey’s passion for music and artistry. As a Black-American artist, producer, and performer, Salaama brings years of experience in music production, live performance and vocal direction to Mérida.

  • The Merida Collective Community is an inclusive space where artists, activists, makers, LGBTQ+ voices, women and anyone curious about the city meet, learn, and create together.

  • Merida Collective Magazine is an online boutique magazine that spotlights the everyday stories and creative spirits that make this city unique – Black residents, artists, entrepreneurs, women, LGBTQ+ folks – voices you won't always find in mainstream media.

We tell stories from around Mérida that show how the city’s creative community is growing.

  • Creative direction, storytelling strategy, production support, and community-centered consulting for creators, organizations and entrepreneurs.

I specialize in creative direction and consulting tailored for anyone who’s ready to launch a project or share a story that truly resonates. From concept to final cut, we’ll turn ideas into compelling narratives that grab attention, inspire action and leave a lasting impact. Let’s bring your vision to life!

    Work → Connect with Salaama
